The centre is managed by a cohesive and progressive committee from the local community who strive for professionalism without losing the warm welcoming community touch.
Historical information regarding the Woady Yaloak area states that Woady Yaloak is derived from an aboriginal name meaning "running water".
The followig user groups proudly call WYEC their Home: - Rokewood Pony Club, Smythesdale and District Pony Club, and Smythesdale Adult Riders Club.
The generous support of the Golden Plains Shire enables WYEC to provide facilities for several Home Users, Casual Users and other related associations across the region.

WYEC consists of the following equestrian components:
* Full competition sized cross country course to CNC* level
* One full sized sand arena capable of holding:
Four full sized dressage arenas
Hold two full sized showjumping competitions
& many more equestrian activities
* Four full sized dressage arenas
* Amenities buildings and club rooms
* Storage facilities
* 94 Holding yards
* Access to plenty of water
* Access to forest riding trails
Cross country course is currently designed by Ewan Kellet and is upgraded yearly.
